Tanushree Dutta To NDTV: "I Was Supposed To Do A Film With Sushant"

Actor Tanushree Dutta, who became the face of India's #MeToo movement back in 2018, on Friday said the recent disturbing video of her breaking down into tears was the result of "an emotional outburst" stemming from a long and painful experience of being harassed in Mumbai, a city where she is unsafe. The actor told NDTV how she finds parallels in life with Sushant Singh Rajput. She also said that she was supposed to feature in a film with the late star who was found dead at his Mumbai apartment in 2020. "I have been harassed for the past five years, and that video was simply an emotional outburst stemming from that long, painful experience. My building's security was replaced without my consent, the locks of my house were broken into, and a maid was deliberately planted in my home - she was mixing unknown substances into my food. Delhi Services Bill, Manipur May Raise Storm In House Again: 10 Points

  1. The Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi (Amendment) Bill has become a rallying point for a united opposition against the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA).
  2. The draft bill to replace the ordinance for creating an authority for transfers and postings of senior officers in the Delhi government has been circulated among the MPs.
  3. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), which is a part of the opposition coalition INDIA, has reacted strongly against the bill. The Congress and other opposition parties have also come out against the bill.
  4. Parliament proceedings have been affected by the opposition's demand for Prime Minister Narendra Modi to speak on the Manipur ethnic conflict in parliament.
  5. Home Minister Amit Shah has clearly said he was ready to respond to a discussion in parliament on the Manipur matter.
  6. But the opposition turned down Mr Shah's offer, and moved a no-confidence motion against the government as a last bid to make PM Modi speak on the Manipur violence in parliament.
  7. The opposition is upset over the government's approach of going ahead with its legislative agenda at a time when the Lok Sabha Speaker has admitted the no-confidence motion.
  8. The government has listed 13 draft legislations for consideration and passing in Lok Sabha even as the notice for moving the no-confidence motion is pending before the house.
  9. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi dared the opposition to defeat the government bills in the house if they believe they have the numbers in Lok Sabha. "They have suddenly brought the no-confidence motion. Does that mean no government business should take place? If they have the numbers, they should defeat the bills on the floor of the house," the minister said on Friday.
  10. Members of the newly formed opposition grouping INDIA, who went to violence-hit Manipur in the past two days, are likely to bring more ammo to attack the Modi government when the house opens today.

US Reopens Lake Michigan Airspace After Closure Over "National Defense"

US officials restricted the airspace over Lake Michigan on Sunday citing a potential new threat to national security but soon reopened the skies, as the United States and Canada respond to multiple air intrusions.
