Cocktail 2 is about to complete one week since its release, and the film has held steady at the box office. Led by Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon and Rashmika Mandanna, the Homi Adajania film crossed the Rs 100 crore mark within six days. The film has opened to mixed responses, and the latest critic to slam it is author and columnist Shobhaa De. Shobhaa De took to Instagram to share a video in which she reviewed Cocktail 2. She said, "Just walked out of watching Cocktail 2. Well, Cocktail 1 it isn't. Woh Cocktail kya tha, yeh kya hai . I feel like I need five negronis to get over this one." She continued, " Iska na head na tail, kuch bhi nahi hai . The story is absurd. Shahid, you need a new haircut, though you are the best part of the film. But the star by far is Sicily — I wish there was more of Sicily. Rashmika, I am so sorry but Hindi films are just not for you. Actor Ishitta Arun has found herself at the center of an online storm after a video from the funeral of her uncle, advertising icon Piyush Pandey, surfaced online. 

The clip showed Ishitta smiling and conversing with others, which drew criticism from some social media users who felt her demeanor was inappropriate for such a solemn occasion.

  • Sharing a heartfelt note alongside a picture of Piyush Pandey, she wrote, "Grief isn't a single script. And when you're saying goodbye to a man who laughed louder than anyone else, remembering him through laughter isn't disrespect. It's continuity. It's muscle memory. It's knowing who he really was."
  • Responding directly to those criticising her, Ishitta continued, "What you saw was us laughing at his line- a line only he could deliver. If you had known him, even in passing, you wouldn't have needed this explained."
  • She further added, "We don't stage grief. We don't mute memory to make strangers comfortable. We remember him honestly- as laughter, courage, and life itself. Next time-know the story before you comment on the moment."

BJP leader Varun Gandhi on Saturday filed a defamation case in a local court here against a Varanasi man for allegedly making derogatory remarks on his father on Twitter.
